Absolutely fascinating and enlightening. This is the first history book I've read in a long, long while whose pages turned themselves! Suddenly, the history of Europe becomes more interesting, especially the Thirty Years War.
It should be said that Stoddard's three-part classification of European sub-races is a tad simplistic now, but the general truth in this book is eternal: race is a major and often primary factor in history.
Out of print now, with fairly recent (1990s) reprints available. Since Stoddard's other two main books are being reprinted by Counter-Currents Publishing they should do this one too, which I think is his most valuable work.
