This book is about a newspaper article that says that Santa Clause does not exist. With that everyone stops believing in Santa Clause except for a little boy named Charlie. When news reaches the north pole the reader discovers that there is more than just one Santa. The Santas then call a meeting where they decide that they are going to go on strike that year because no one believes in them. However, Charlie goes to work with his dad at the postal service where he finds a letter from one Santa to another and it is up to him to go out and convince the Santas to get off strike.
I recommend this book during the holidays because it gets a child's imagination going. While reading this I found myself even thinking about the different possibilities of Santa Clause and never once thought that there was more than one of them. However this does make sense and adds a realistic approach to the story. Another neat thing in the story was that the writing was always on the left with the pictures on the right. However on ever left hand page there was a little clip art looking figure adding to the story.
