Jazz Tributes [PDF]

Bill G. Evans has a wide experience in the field of music. Classically trained, he earned bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from North Texas State University. His performance schedule has included many solo recitals, several concertos with orchestras, and much chamber music and song literature.

Jazz was a "language" he learned only after entering the army, where he was pianist with the Fourth Army Show Band for two years. Since that time, he has also performed jazz in all kinds of settings, from college campus concerts to to accompanying pop stars in benefit performance.

At West Texas State University, Mr. Evans is a coordinator of the keyboard area. His students represent all levels: from adult beginners to graduate performance majors.
